My Name is Julie Car and I live in East Bolton Tyne and Wear England. My Maiden Name was Loftus, and its been wonderful to read your website. My grandfathers name was Thomas Loftus and he was Born in 1895 in Hartlepool, England to John and Jane Ann Loftus. He had a sister Louisa brothers George and William.

It would be lovely to hear from anyone who might be slighly related as we don't know much about him as he died when my father was 9 years old. He died on HMS Kurdistan in 1942. He Married my grandmother Kathleen Hayes nee McCarthy, and had 4 sons, 2 of which are alive today.
